The Entries for December's Photobugs "contest"

The Challenge for this month's contest was to capture images that showed an intentional use of shadow. Controlling light and shadow is one of the key elements in photography. Shadows and their characteristics affect a photo significantly. Since photos are limited to being two dimensional, we use shadows to illustrate depth and dimension. Portraits without shadows, for example, will often seem flat and lifeless.

Herein was our challenge.

1) Photos must contain a shadow (pretty basic huh?)
2) Subject/object can either be: obscured by shadow, casting shadow or engulfed completely in shadow (i.e. silhouette)
3) The image must be the original work of the photographer

Voting will take place as such:

1) Each image will be assigned a number
2) Voters will leave a comment (and critique if they like) on the blog as to which image they like most.
3) Voters can vote for up to 3 images
